It’s worth noting that this is the 19th vote in a row in which virtually the entire world has condemned the US embargo on Cuba, with only the US and Israel voting against the resolution. The reasons are clear – it is illegal, has done massive amounts of harm to the Cuban people (including denying them essential food and medicine), and has done nothing to further the stated goal of the embargo. Well, at least it’s consistent with US foreign policy.
